The differences between commonly used brush filaments

At present, brush filaments are widely used, and the four most commonly used materials are nylon (PA), PP, PBT, and PET. These materials have the advantages of low production cost, various colors, stable quality, and unlimited length. It is widely used in the processing of rayon brushes, especially in industrial brushes, and the use of these rayon fibers greatly exceeds that of natural hair.

They have some differences in performance, let's take a look at the performance and use of these four filaments.

Nylon (PA): nylon filaments can be roughly divided into 3 kinds of PA6, PA66, PA612, they have good wear resistance, temperature resistance, recovery, this kind of filament is the most common brush filament on the market, in daily life and It is widely used in industrial production.

PP: The biggest feature of PP is that the density is less than 1, and the cross-section of PP hair is oval; in addition, PP has poor elasticity, and it is difficult to restore the original shape after repeated bending, and can be heat-resistant to 120 degrees Celsius.

PET: The durability and high temperature resistance of PET are close to those of nylon; in addition, PET also has the advantages of good resistance to acid and alkali, alcohol and gasoline, and has considerable antibacterial properties, and is not easy to mildew.

PBT: PBT filament has the advantages of acid and alkali resistance, oil resistance, solvent resistance, etc., but it is easy to hydrolyze at high temperature.
